Family Technology Education Initiatives is a family-run nonprofit created to share practical, everyday technologies with the public. We believe that when people understand the tools around them—whether simple or complex—they gain confidence, independence, and the ability to improve their daily lives.
This website is our way of passing along the knowledge, experiences, and lessons we’ve gathered through our own use of technology. We approach every topic with curiosity, hands-on experimentation, and a commitment to continued learning. Although we are starting small, our goal is to grow gradually as we explore new subjects and discover what best serves our community.
What You Can Expect Here
Our educational approach is flexible and evolving. Some technologies will be covered at a high level for beginners, while others will be explained in detail with demonstrations, examples, and step-by-step guidance. The Programs page will highlight each topic we are actively discussing or teaching, starting with our first major area: Model Aviation.
As we continue to build content, many pages may reference the work of others—such as experts, organizations, or companies—and we will always do our best to credit original creators appropriately.

The world of technology is huge, and we are exploring it one piece at a time. Over time, we expect this site to expand into additional disciplines such as robotics, computer literacy, electronics, and other STEM-related topics. Our goal is not perfection—it is progress, discovery, and the willingness to learn alongside the people we teach.
